Jacking points




NEVER Jack up your Mini on the Floor pan. it will damage the floor severely.


The following pictures show suitable points to use on the front and rear subframes, when Jacking up the car.

Always remember to support the car on axle stands!



For the Front subframe, use the bottom plate, underneath the Lower suspension arm bolt, as indicated here:

On the Rear subframe, you should put the jack anywhere in the area shown here:

We now have an answer to where we should position the Jack when working on our babies...

Now... If only we could get this information out to non-Mini garages, we might see a limit on the number of bent Floor Pans!
